30 Random Things I'll Miss About Cork


As I began to pack during our last week, I decided to come up with a list of the little things I will miss most about Cork and my time abroad. The list is not in any order.
  1. Going out for a pint to listen to live Irish music
  2. Prank wars with the boys
  3. Getting a free pint every time it rains with an app on the iPhone
  4. When everyone gets wifi on their iPhones and stops talking
  5. Garlic mayo
  6. Nutrageous and the Nutrageous song
  7. Hating the An Brog yet still wanting to go there
  8. Doing nothing on the list of things we need to do before we leave
  9. Hearing 4's weird whistling and music (Our 4th roommate from El Salvador)
  10. Thomond bar's cottage pie
  11. Pregames in the Penthouse
  12. Trying to perfect the Irish accent and Sarah sounding Indian every time
  13. Irish cider- Bulmers
  14. Trying to look Irish by wearing my Aran sweater, claddagh ring and tartan scarf
  15. Getting called out for being American miles away (even people yelling "You're American!" out of the window of moving cars)
  16. Hearing Galway Girl live at pubs
  17. Telling people they sound like leprechauns
  18. Running through the parking garage to avoid the creepy cats
  19. L.A. Bagels
  20. The bar at UCC that we've never been to
  21. Using Irish phrases (gaf, good craic, what's the story?, that's legend, lads, for **** sake, you're an igit)
  22. Fat Al's pizza slices and Sarah saying it is the best pizza she's ever had in her life
  23. The awful wifi in Leeside
  24. Shouting at Chelsea to ask if she has Internet and playing nose goes to be the one to reset the router
  25. Making everyone look at the Irish countryside on long Aircoach bus rides
  26. Being surprised every time it rains and then remembering we're in Ireland
  27. The Rooftop
  28. Going "to town" which eventually leads to eating or buying something
  29. Driving on the wrong side of the road through roundabouts
  30. Tuesday nights at Rearden's, Thursday nights at The Bailey
